About Me...

The Bio...

TEAM

A former (self-taught) restaurant chef-owner, I now write and create recipes for such publications as: The Toronto Star, Watershed Magazine, Canada Takeout, and others. My first book – Happy Hens & Fresh Eggs – was published in 2015; I'm working on my second. I've received some lovely awards for my writing (that Gold National Magazine Award was pretty fancy and Happy Hens was shortlisted by Taste Canada!), and my culinary work has garnered excellent reviews, including four star ratings from major dailies.

 

I studied Fine Art History and Humanities at the University of Toronto and York University, and graduated with honours from OCAD University; I earned my Wine Specialist Certificate from George Brown College. I'm not a sommelier, I just know enough about wine to be really annoying at dinner parties.

I live in Port Hope, Ontario where I share a Victorian home with a menagerie.
